This is the gathering of state delegates who will vote for Democratic candidates seeking to get on the ballot through the grassroots caucus-and-assembly process. Those who go through the assembly need 30 percent of the vote from the roughly 4,000 delegates who attend. If a candidate gets fewer than 30 percent but is on the ballot via petition, that candidate can still stay on the ballot. Any candidate who gets fewer than 10 percent of the vote cannot be on the ballot." -The Colorado Independent
Attend the Colorado Democratic State Assembly ask your delegates for their support and to sign a petition! We will have a table with extra petitions and other materials on Friday and Saturday. On Saturday our table will be shared with the Colorado Education Association.
This is an important event for signature gathering - delegates from all over the state will be in attendance! Signatures are only allowed to be gathered outside of the building so it's important we have as many gatherers as possible as delegates are arriving. If you can volunteer between the hours of 10am and 3pm: even though you can't carry petitions inside, you can go in and ask your delegates to go check out a petition to carry at our table!
You can find more information about the event on the Colorado Democratic Party website.
